The solution of a series of major problems faced by human existence and development will depend on the development of bioengineering technology and biological industry to a great extent. Bioengineering technology industry has become a key point of national science and technology competitiveness and even economic competitiveness. In June 2007, the National Development and Reform Commission approved the construction of the national Bio-industrial base in the new hi-Tech park in the northern part of Chongqing, making Chongqing one of the eight national biological industry bases, which strongly promoted the rapid development of Chongqing's biological industry.

In order to support the Chongqing biological industry to seize the commanding heights of international and domestic technology and industry, and provide a continuous momentum of development, the National Development and Reform Commission approved in July 2008 and the construction of special support to set up a "Chongqing national biological Industry Base Public experimental center." Relying on the advantages of Chongqing disciplines, talents, instruments and analytical abilities, the center has connected the institutions of higher learning, research institutions and production enterprises through innovative organizational forms to serve the biological industry in Chongqing and even in the west.

Aims and Goals:biomedical engineering, Biomedical products testing and research and developments are part of main objectives. Few goals are as follows

· help to improve the comprehensive discipline and scientific research ability,

· Promote the technology innovation of the bio-industry.

· Assist in the development of products in Chongqing and southwest China.

· Support the sustainable innovation and development of the bio-industry.

· Assist in the perfect industrial analysis and test platform, provide the intelligence and technical service to meet the market demand.

Since its inception, the center has established a large-scale scientific instrument and equipment sharing platform covering the major universities, research institutes, large enterprises, industry departments, main urban areas and six regional central cities, which are related to the biological industry in Chongqing. To achieve the integration and sharing of resources across departments; Through the construction of Information network, the establishment of technical policy, information, patent search and inquiry, technical exchange and exchange information System; A full range of product development, testing, analysis, inspection and testing services; To provide new technology, new technology and new materials to enterprises , new products, such as information services, technical exchanges, new technologies, applications, technology and technological achievements to transform services.

The center now has more than 180 sets of equipment, with an experiment, scientific research, a part-time teachers and experimental technicians, a total of more than 50 expert professional team, including professor (researcher), Associate professor (Deputy researcher), Lecturers (Experimental Division, engineer). A lot of postdoctoral fellows, doctoral and Masters Students.There are 3 national personnel, provincial and ministerial level of 9 people, with strong technical research and development and support capabilities.
